Become a Music Producer | FInd Free Music Production Software and Music Production Colleges

If you are just starting out in music production then free music production software is a great way to start your future career. There is a lot of different software to choose from and finding the right one may be hard at first. Google can be a really helpful tool here. You will be able to find drum machines and synthesizers all over the place. While the free music production software you find may not be as great looking as the paid software or have the same number of features, they can still get the job done. It really is not that hard to get started in your dream to become a music producer. The most important thing is that you get comfortable with the software you find. When starting out a lot of people open the software and then do not even attempt to try it out. This is because a lot of the software that is free is all about usability and not looks. Do not look at the looks of a program. Try it out for about a week and see what you can produce with it. Look up some tutorials online as well. Good luck with the free music production software that you find and good luck.

Become a Music Producer

Are you looking to become a music producer? This article should tell you a few things. Becoming a music producer takes a lot of work. It will take years to develop the skills needed to become a music producer. Most people will start out with free music production software which is great to start out with, and after a lot of dedication and hard work you may consider yourself ready for some music production colleges. If you wish to get started it is time to get rid of the free music production software and get with the big leagues. Music production colleges will take you on a path using many different music production software such as reason, protools, and many others. Before you head on on your journey you will need to develop a feel for the industry. Do as much research as you can daily and do even more practice. Practice everyday. You will learn more and more the more you practice. A lot of people tend to create their songs/recordings the same way every time. Do not do this. Experiment with as many different techniques as possible. Just because you think your technique is flawless does not mean that the music production companies think it is. Music production colleges will get you to where you need to be if you put in the effort. They will help you get rid of the free music production software and help you jump in to the system. If you can get a hold of the software used in music production class before getting to college it will help you a lot. Try to figure out ahead of time what these colleges are looking for in their music production class. These courses are usually hard to get into and you will definitely need to submit one of your own recordings and possibly a piece of music of your own that you have composed.

The Flashbulb

Hey guys. Trying to get back in a routine of posting here. Anyway, since right now I am listening to this band, I feel like I need to do a review. Not sure if many of you have heard of Benn Jordan AKA. The Flashbulb/other names, but he is an amazing drill and bass artist. The I am listening to right now is called Lawn Wake IX and it pretty much inspired me to write this. The way that Benn incorporates his classical guitar skills with his keyboard skills and his beats that he makes is truly a work of art. If there was one electronic band I would EVER recomend of this genre it would definitely be The Flashbulb. I’ll post Lawn Wake IX below. Check it out and let me know what you think!

Peace,
Brad

I also recommend this song, Szamár Madár by Venetian Snares. Look out though, it has a part in the middle of it that might make you extremely annoyed. You’ve been warned :)

Back to Work

Hey guys. I haven’t been posting anything lately because I’ve been crazy busy with other blogs I’m starting up and some other things as well. Hopefully things will even out soon enough, but as of right now I have some assignments to work on. Anyway, I would like to find some people to help run the forum since I have absolutely no time for it and that would be really cool. Anyway, if you have any ideas or comments on the site let me know. Until then, keep rockin’.

Peace,
Brad

Lights LIVE Video Feed

Hey guys, I know I literally JUST posted that last topic, but I just thought of something and it is different from the last post. I have not really listened to them, but the band Lights is coming to my city soon. I was thinking I might be able to do a live feed of the show from my phone if possible. If anyone is interested leave a comment… even though I don’t even know if the tickets have been put on sale or even if they’re sold out already haha.

I’ll keep ya’ posted!

Peace,
Brad

Theme Update/Owl City

Hi guys. I wanted more things to blog about so I decided that from now on (unless I change my mind again) that this blog will be not only about creating your own music from home, but the entire music industry. I want to broaden my topic so that I can learn more and I have more to tell. Anyway, what I am about to blog about is a little out-dated, but I feel like writing about it.

I’m sure many of you have heard the song Fireflies by Owl City by now. It’s been getting more and more popular recently. I find this weird as I have listened to Owl City for quite some time now. I don’t know if I’m angry or happy that they got famous. The reason I feel angry is because Fireflies is the only song a lot people know by them and they think they’re cool listening to Owl City because it’s in the top 10 or whatever. I am however glad that they are finally getting the attention they deserve. It also inspires me a little because I feel I make a similar feel of music. Anyway, Owl City is a wonderful band and if you STILL have not heard of them, check ‘em out! And if you like them, be sure to check out PlayRadioPlay! as they have a similar type of music.

Feel free to let me know what you think.

P.S. Sorry for not posting anything recently. I have been caught up in other things again.

Peace,
Brad

New Song Today

After a long time away from the keyboard I finally decided to set my gear up and get recording. It took awhile to get through some writer’s block issues but eventually I made a nice up-beat happy sounding tune. I just started it and it’s no where near being completed but I hope that I finish it within the next week or 2.

Peace,
Brad
